Generate an API Token
Create an API token in SignalFX for authentication- Log in to your Splunk Observability Cloud (SignalFX) account
- Navigate to Settings > Access Tokens
- Click ‘New Token’
- Select appropriate permissions (read access for metrics/dimensions)
- Copy the generated token
Find Your API Endpoint
Determine the correct API endpoint for your realm- Identify your SignalFX realm (e.g., us0, us1, eu0)
- Use the format: api.<realm>.signalfx.com
- Common endpoints: api.us1.signalfx.com, api.eu0.signalfx.com
